About David

Hi,

I'm a Digital Marketing expert and have been building websites since the early days of the internet when we all put spinning globes and web counters on our home pages - just because we could!

Now I teach people how to build an 'effective' web presence, not just websites. I also manage various ecommerce websites for companies generating them £millions.

Am a dad of 3 teenage boys, love running the moors and dancing Smooth Modern Jive. Yeah, I get loads of ribbing from the lads about that! Am also a trustee of a small charity opening a new £23m music venue.

I care about everything I do, or wouldn't do it.

Do get in touch,

David x

P.S. Listen to my podcast to find out how I can help you.

Want to know more...?

Okay. I want you to have faith in me and that I know what I'm talking about. We'll be going on a journey together so I need you to feel comfortable.

My first website was selling Spanish terracotta cookware. I bought them in from Spain (surprisingly) by the truck load and wholesaled them to over 150 retailers across the north of England, north Wales and southern Scotland. A really great business that I sold 5 years later. It was one of those early sites which took me weeks to build. But, as well as promote the wholesale service, I also sold direct to consumers. Fantastic learning!

I worked as a freelance marketer for many years helping businesses with their strategic direction and getting them online. Some of these projects were with bodies like to the chamber of commerce, university and other business support agencies, but most were with private clients. Platforms used were Drupal, EKM, Bluepark, WooCommerce and Wordpress with Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Ebay, Amazon, automated email marketing, etc, etc.

Family life is important to me and for the past 4 years, I've been bringing up my 3 teenage sons. They are the centre of my world and on reflection, I think I've done quite a good job! As well as Eternally Free clients, I also manage ecommerce sites that generate millions of pounds for their owners. I love the buzz of winning sales and growing their business and they are truly lovely people to work with. Working for yourself is really great, but being part of a wider team keeps me connected. I guess I have the best of both worlds!

I set up Eternally Free, building websites for start ups and small businesses as a fun project in 2019 and as a response to friends getting poor service from developers. There are plenty of good developers out there but ironically, they're quite hard to find. I soon realised that many people still had little or no knowledge about how to get online, so I sought the best way of helping them access the best free or low-cost resources on the internet, and it just took off!

I love Eternally Free and get a great kick out of helping people stand on their own two feet and building their income. I know it sounds grand, but it's life-changing stuff!

Am very lucky to have good health so able to run the moors near to where I live in Yorkshire as well as manage Bronte Adventures, a hobby business promoting the village of Haworth and taking people on long, moorland walks. Maybe you'll join me one day?

Hopefully this gives enough about me and my personal motivations, but if you want to know more, just ask.

Below are a couple of Facebook posts showing the kind of things I get up to in my spare time.
